OK Thanks. And any recent LUD on 485 and already approved EAD (such as 08/21/2010 as most of us got)? Just trying to derive some pattern here...

unitednations was sharing valuable insight about the H1B denial trend in the begning. Then, every one started dragging him in to useless discussions with all kind of arguments.
How does it matter now?. Whether the mess was caused by desi companies alone or with the help of some guys who got H1 for their wife , brother, mother and the local policeman who learned SAP in a week, the damage is already done.

I totally agree on EB3 to EB2 porting but the PD should be the day he qualified as EB2 not the original date of EB3 which makes sense.
This way everyone is happy.
People who have done Masters (EB2) should get the GCs first. :) ...Relax dont give me a red for this. I already had enough.

On Aug 19th we got our CPO emails. I was on vacation so couldn't post the message to the site. After that no updates from USCIS. Still waiting on the Notice mails.

It's seems TSC again in sleep mode.. Hope next week will be better.. We will cross 60 days from filing.. 30 days more to go for any CSR help unless they say call after 120 days.. :D:D

Has any one in the forum here have a FP notice for a 4 and half year child during the 485 process. I ask this question as my daughter did not get one.

Yes, I got a FP notice for my daughter as she was born in India; and I had applied 485 for her as well.
She was 4 and a half years in Nov 07 when we got the notice. I am a July-Aug 07 filer.
Her FP notice came for a separate date though, diff from my wife's and mine.
I wd suggest you to call USCIS/ur attorney and check.

Guys,
VISA BULLETIN FOR JUNE 2009 sets back EB2 priority back to 01JAN00.
Some thing needs to be done. The easist will be not counting ebdependents in ebquota. This should be very easy. There is no INA law linking ebquota with ebdependents.
I need IV Core help for this.

I think I'm one of last person with the PD of 2005 to get approved.
Service Center NSC.
Had two infopass appointments
Raised SR on 8/5/2010
Many calls to USCIS national customer service
Spoke once to second level IO
Also contacted local congress man and tow senators
My lawyer also contacted NSC regarding my case
Not sure what worked but finally got it. Thank god that this eternal wait is over.
Good luck to those who are all waiting.

I have been a passive reader on these forums for the most part.
I would just like to express my appreciation for the work that IV does. I totally support the regular donation thing to gain access to one forum. If you don't want to donate, all you are losing is access to one forum. That forum is only for IV loyals who really believe in IV.
All that's needed is $25 donation to gain access to it. Lobbying in this country needs a lot of money. If you want IV to work for you, then it's the least you could do.
The regular donation thing also spurs some not-so-active guys like me to donate, when we might forget.
As for EB3, and people stressing about concenterating on EB3(I), you can't separate out one legal immigration issue from the other....ultimately all these efforts pay off for all of us. The more you divide all these up, the lesser your number is gonna be and the less likely any lawmakers will help you.
I understand how frustrating it is to wait for so long. I have been working in this country since mid-2000. I lost my H1 at 6 years and had to go on H4 and sit out from work for an year, when IV's push really helped me get my EAD during the July 2007 fiasco. And I am a VLSI Design Engineer who spent the first half of my stay in US as an employee in a big company(AMD), and still couldn't get anywhere with my GC.
I have seen ample cases reported on the Sep approval thread where people on EB2 have been in this country for 10+ years.
Most of us have faced issues with GC. And these issues might be different for all of us. But ultimately, we need to work with a common goal. Pointing fingers at each other in this scenario is the worst we could do to help ourselves, let alone help anyone else.
For those who can put in the time/money to help out IV. Nothing like it. If not, let's atleast appreciate the work people are doing, and let's stick together.

For those who doubt that a definitive initiative is needed for the Legal immigrant community, may I humbly remind them of the most basic and the most important phrase of the US Constitution..."Every human being has the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". What has been happening with all this memos and counter-memos and visa bulletins from the USCIS and the DOS is a denial of our basic human rights...first as Human beings and then as Legal Immigrants. Friends we can possibly build a strong case based on the informed readings of the US Constitution and Law. We have done nothing wrong to get such treatment buy these departments. We have followed every law and requirement that the US Immigration Law has prescribed but because of the sheer number of immigrants from India and China we are being disadvantaged and discriminated by the US Congress, certain laws and by these departments. It is not a legal immigrants fault that the US Law does not limit the F1 visas issued in a year by country and the number of jobs applied under H1b program by country. The endless delays in the GC process clearly disadvantages the legal immigrant community from large countries like India and China compared with legal immigrants from other countries and even US citizens. They clearly cannot pursue their dreams of prosperity, career advancement, security (for himself and family via education, jobs and homes) and overall happiness. Justice delayed is nearly always denied.

I filed 485/EAD/AP on May 31st and TSC received on June 1st. My checks haven't been cleared yet. TSC is said to be the slowest one. In a chinese forum, several people whose PD became current on June 1st got 485 approved recently. Their cases were all transferred to NSC recently.
BTW, how long will it take to get EAD? I sort of remember that it takes at most 3 months.
As far as i heard TSC is the fastest man. NSC is the snail...
